I have been in the health and fitness industry since 2012 and loved every second of it. Having a job that you enjoy and are passionate about where you can help people to look after their wellbeing is amazing. In 2016 I was extremely proud to receive the National PT of the Year award, which I dedicate to the hard work and commitment of the clients I have worked with.

My personal view when it comes to wellbeing, is that to have an optimal level of wellbeing you need to have a fine balance of your physical health, mental health, and nutrition, which is individual to each person. Understanding that wellbeing is specific to everyone has been a huge reason why we have seen some great results with our 1-2-1 clients, online clients, and corporate clients through the years.  


At the time of writing I have clocked up around 8000 hours of 1-2-1 personal training, roughly 6000 hours + of group training/classes and countless hours of programming (both exercise and nutrition). This has given me a large amount of experience when it comes to dealing with client goals and tackling potential stumbling blocks that have stopped them from getting where they want to be. In my eyes, the client always comes first, and we will always do as much as we can to help them succeed in their goals. 


My background comes from two years playing academy rugby (at Leicester Tigers), eight years of semi-professional rugby and a very amateur standard of men’s physique bodybuilding. All of these brought different challenges for me when it comes to mental resilience, physical health/performance, and my nutrition, which has helped me to adapt to the challenges that my clients have brought to me over the years. I am now a player/coach at a local rugby club (Wolverhampton rugby club) which helps me to keep fit/focussed in training and also take on weird challenges from time to time such as 24-hour cycles for charity, 100km group hikes, and 31 mile fell runs!

Starting as a Personal Trainer in January 2016 after having a change of career is the best decision I have ever made. During this time, I have done around 4500 hours of 1-2-1 coaching sessions in addition to teaching 100’s of classes to 1000’s of people. Going from a corporate role into something where I get to make a huge impact on the lives of people is very humbling and is a responsibility I take very seriously. For this reason, I am always learning and educating myself to pass on knowledge to the people I work with. Seeing someone grow in every aspect of their life is my passion and nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing how someone can transform their body, mind, and confidence.

I have been involved in resistance and strength and conditioning training for over 20 years, played semi-professional football, been a competitive swimmer, and entered a Men's Fitness cover model competition, but I am certainly not someone who believes we all need to live in the gym! My own personal favourite exercise is to walk my dog and I am a huge believer in the benefits of walking for physical and mental wellbeing.


If you ever hear me preaching for people to count every calorie they eat and train until they drop, send me as much abuse as you want to, life is supposed to be fun and that is my own personal idea of hell! Most people want to look good, feel great, and lead a fulfilling life where they can achieve everything they want to without spending 2 hours in a gym every day and another 2 hours preparing bland, boring food. I feel the same way and everything I do for the people I work with is focussed on building a long-lasting, sustainable, healthy way of living.

I am a lead Clinical and Counselling Psychologist (HCPC registered) and have more than 10 years of experience working in a wide range of settings and with a variety of psychology-related areas such as addiction, eating disorders, stress/ anxiety, anger management, emotional regulation, and much more. In 2018 I was extremely proud to be awarded the 'Striving for Excellence' award for services to Psychology.

I have experienced first-hand, and observed through years of clinical work, how your mind, body and environment are intrinsically connected. Our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviours affect our biological functioning. Our minds affect how healthy our bodies are, and what we do with our physical body (what we eat, how much we exercise, even our posture) impact our perceptions of ourselves and the world around us.
